Welcome to PEO Chapter IF's Daisy Jar Campaign!

We are a relatively small group of women of various ages who gather together to meet local needs in the San Gabriel, California area, the needs of the State of California, the needs of the nation, and the needs of the world at large. The causes range from providing men, women and children with blankets on SkidRow in Los Angeles, to supplying Christmas gifts to children who would not normally receive them, to raising funds for our state and national parks, to passing on funds to educate women here in our local area, throughout the United States, and in Afghanistan, and in procuring emergency loans to men or women who need it at an interest rate in which our chapter gains nothing.  Here is the website for PEO International, so that you can understand the history and value of this group: www.peointernational.org.

Our Daisy Jar campaign was initially very simple. We would leave jars in local businesses, who would support our work. The jars would be painted with daisies on them, and would be accompanied by a flyer, encouraging those who have received help from others to "pass it on" by donating to a group that directly helps people who need help. They were also accompanied with a group of customized Post It Notes that said, "Use this space to honor someone special, and leave it in the jar with your donation. Good luck will follow."

The combination of the ability to do something kind for someone else, and to remember and honor the kindness that has been bestowed upon you is really sort of cathartic. We would appreciate if you would help yourself and others in our global community, whether the recipient of your kindness may be a neighbor or someone millions of miles away -- by donating as little as $3.00 to our work to help a world that desperately needs help right now.

Thank you! The Daisy Jar Campaign of PEO Chapter IF, San Gabriel Valley, California
